Anagram for BlackBerry Captures Contact and Calendar Information from Clipboard
By admin

Gwabbit, a BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) and Outlook application that automatically detects new contact information in e-mails, was one of the most interesting third-party solutions we saw at WES, but it looks like they’ve got some competition. Anagram is a little less automated, as you have to copy the information then issue a capture command from the BlackBerry menu, but has the added bonus of being free. Copying actually allows the system to be more flexible, since you can nab information not only from e-mails, but web sites and documents as well. On top of that, Anagram can also handle meetings and generate calendar items based on the information you copy. Premium versions for Outlook, SalesForce and NetSuite are also available, but nothing for Mac. The FAQ tells us why:
Why isn’t there a Mac version?
Our overworked developers are kept in cages at night and fed gruel. Morale is low and we’re having trouble convincing them to take on the project.
Awesome. Considering Gwabbit’s asking $10/year for their nearly identical service, I think I may have to side with Anagram. Grab it now for free!
